Cruising the Forked River Diner Car Show Raises $1,344.00 for Ocean of Love in 4 hours!

“This is going to be such an awesome, one-of-a-kind car show that you won’t want to miss – and I’m excited about it!” said Vic Eubanks of Deluxe Car Care LLC of Lanoka Harbor knowing that magic was about to happen. Joining with Blue Collar Business Services and www.jerseyshorecarshows.com, both of Forked River, and hosting the event at the Forked River Diner on Route 9, his thought became reality as they put on a party that won’t soon be forgotten.

Patricia & Al from www.jerseyshorecarshows.com, and Vic and Meredith from Deluxe Car Care present Theresa from Ocean of Love with a check for $1,344

On September 27th, 2019 the first Cruising the Forked River Diner Charity Car Show took place in the lot shared by the Forked River Diner and Ernest Shower Door Gallery. Over 70 cars, trucks, and motorcycles attended, including the Deluxe Car Care team with their awesome eco-friendly products on display, and race car drivers (and teammates) Chace Leahy and Greg Shepsis who brought their race cars! Even more spectators filled the lot next door at the State Marina to check out the sweet rides and get in on the action! With period-correct music playing during the event, car owners were treated to an old-fashioned diner style theme complete with car hop service where delicious food was brought right to their cars – something that has never been attempted before at an area car show or cruise. To say it was a success would be an understatement. Car owners couldn’t stop complimenting the great food and smooth service! One car owner said it best; “It’s like being in an episode of Happy Days!” We keep hearing from people who attended and said it was the best show they ever went to.

Over 70 vintage vehicles packed the parking lots!

Later in the evening, attendance prizes and goodie bags were distributed, trophies were awarded, and by nights end $1,344.00 was collected for Ocean Of Love. Not bad for a free event! Two staff members from www.jerseyshorecarshows.com happened to stop by the Forked River Diner for lunch on Monday, and sat behind a customer at the counter who was still talking about how great the event was and hoped that we would do it again. Well, we have good news for you – we will be doing a show in the spring and the fall in 2020 at a LARGER venue – the Breakers at the Waretown Plaza on Rt 9! Mark the Dates in your calendar: Saturday April 11, 2020 9am to 230pm (Rain Date 4/18/20) and Friday September 25, 2020 4pm to 8pm (Rain date 10/2/20).

So to everyone who attended and donated to Ocean of Love – THANK YOU!

To Forked River Diner, Deluxe Car Care, & Blue Collar Business Services for sponsoring, planning, and running the event – THANK YOU!

To Ernest Glass & The State Marina for giving us extra parking – THANK YOU

We’ll see you in 2020!

But until then, let’s not forget to thank and patronize our trophy sponsors:

The vintage car show with its unique diner-style service was a huge success, with over 70 cars and a great turnout for the charity cause. Car owners praised the event, calling it a nostalgic experience, like being in "Happy Days." With the event raising $1,344 for Ocean Of Love, it was a perfect blend of fun and philanthropy. Just like using the JMU GPA Calculator helps track academic progress, events like these help build strong community connections. It’s a great reminder of how special gatherings can leave lasting impressions.

There are a huge number of classic car lovers in the world, especially because many of them understand that such an era has already passed and such cars will no longer exist, unfortunately. But for true connoisseurs who have money, I can recommend the unique store streetside classics , which is one of a kind. There you can buy a truly classic car in its original form.
