Revving Up for the Holidays: December Events & The Ultimate Car Lover’s Wish List

Happy Holidays from Jersey Shore Car Shows!
Happy Holidays from Jersey Shore Car Shows!

December is finally here! The air is crisp, the boardwalks are quiet, and neighborhoods around New Jersey are starting to twinkle with holiday lights. For us here at Jersey Shore Car Shows, December isn't just about parking the classics in the garage for winter hibernation—it’s about celebrating the season in style, giving back to the community, and, of course, dreaming about what upgrades we want to find under the tree.

Whether you’re looking to finish your holiday shopping or find one last reason to get the ride out before the snow flies, we’ve got you covered.

🎄 The 2025 Automotive Wish List

Let’s be honest, socks and sweaters are nice, but car parts are better. If you’re building your own wish list or shopping for the gearhead in your life, here is what’s trending in the automotive world this holiday season:

1. High-Tech Cabin Upgrades

2025 has been a huge year for in-car tech. Top of the list? AI-Powered Dash Cams. Models from brands like Wolfbox and Garmin are now smarter than ever, offering crystal-clear 4K recording and intelligent parking modes that watch your car while you’re at a show. We have one in our 67 Bonneville and it's come in handy a few times!

2. The "Saved My Bacon" Kit

Every trunk needs a hero. Our favorite is the HALO Bolt Air which provides a jump starter, air pump, flashlight, and USB charger. We have one in every vehicle! Also consider Portable Lithium Jump Starters (like the NOCO Boost series) that are compact, powerful, and absolutely essential for winter. No more begging a stranger for a jump; these little bricks can fire up a V8 in freezing temps.

3. Garage Therapy

For those cold days when we’re stuck inside, LEGO Technic sets are a massive hit this year. From the intricate Porsche 911 RSR to the Back to the Future Time Machine, these aren't just toys—they’re display pieces.

  • For the Detailer: A high-end foam cannon or a ceramic coating kit to prep the paint for spring. Visit our sponsor DELUXE CAR CARE LLC for your supplies!

🎁 Season of Giving: Toys for Tots & Charity Shows

One of the best things about the car community in New Jersey is our willingness to give back. The "entry fee" for many December events is simply a smile and a new unwrapped toy for a child in need. Here are a few spots to drop off a donation and see some cool rides:

  • Fielders Pub Toys for Tots Show (Hammonton) * When: Saturday, December 6, 2025 | 10 AM - 1 PM

    • Vibe: A cool "hangout" style meet with vintage vibes hosted by Cadillac Kings. Bring an unwrapped toy, grab some food, and check out all the cool rides.

  • Wayne's Auto Body Toys for Tots Car Show (South Amboy) * When: Sunday, December 7, 2025 | 9 AM - 12 PM

    • Vibe: A classic "hangout" style meet. Bring an unwrapped toy, grab a coffee, and catch up with friends before the holidays.

  • Hot Rod Garage Toys for Tots Car Show (Williamstown) * When: Sunday, December 7, 2025 | 10 AM - 2 PM

    • Vibe: Hosted by Dan from Hot Rod Garage, this is a staple event for South Jersey. It’s a great excuse to stretch the legs of your muscle car one last time.

  • Road Knights Toy Run (Pennsville) * When: Sunday, December 14, 2025 | 12 PM - 4 PM

    • Vibe: A spirited meet that combines the love of cars with the spirit of giving.

🎅 Parades: Rolling Through the Holidays

Nothing says "Holidays on the Jersey Shore" like seeing a vintage convertible decked out in wreaths and lights rolling down Main Street. If you want to spectate (or participate!), mark your calendars for these local favorites:

  • Lacey Township Christmas Parade: Sunday, Dec 7th. The parade starts at Lacey United Methodist Church at 3pm (Lineup 215pm) and heads up Lacey Road to the Municipal Building.

  • Mount Ephraim Christmas Parade: Saturday, Dec 13th. An evening parade and car show too! Starts at 4pm and ends around 630pm

  • Menorah Motorcade Parade: Sunday, Dec 14th. Now in it's 16th year, this Cherry Hill NJ event is one of the largest of it's kind. Parade spots are limited so make sure you RSVP!

🏁 Happy Holidays from Jersey Shore Car Shows!

However you celebrate, we hope your December is filled with family, friends, and full tanks of gas. Drive safe, keep those batteries charged, and we’ll see you on the road!
