Here is a pic of my current project a 69 Mustang Coupe that I have owned since 2001. It is equipped with a modified 1987 5.0, a 1987 T-5 5 spd trans, a shortened mid 90's Explorer aluminum driveshaft coupled to a Ford 9" rear with 3.50 gears & trac lok. It rides on 1968 Mustang GT 14" rims wrapped with Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires, 215/70R-14's in the front, & 225/70R-14's in the rear. I converted the old front drum brakes to power front disc brakes keeping the stock rear drum brakes, & installed a center mount hand parking brake from a 1987 Mustang. I performed the the Shelby/Arning upper control arm drop, re-built the front suspension using blueprinted upper & lower control arms, a roller spring saddle, 1" drop progressive rate front coil springs & a 1" sway bar. I also replaced the rear leaf springs using 1" drop 4.5 mid-eye leafs. The Mustang has manual steering with a roller idler arm. My 69 Mustang Coupe & my 2000 Ford Ranger 4x4 pictured behind the Mustang in the pic were built in the same assembly plant in Metuchen, NJ 31 years apart.
