Forget the Snow, Let’s Focus On Spring
It seems like we have gotten three years of snow in the last 4 weeks. It’s certainly made a mess of our plans working on Firebird Farms Field. So instead of watching the future show field ice over, we put our time to much better use and started working on our 2021 events with the anticipation that things will begin to open up sooner than later. With that in mind, here are a few cool events to look forward to!
Caffeine and Gasoline, our Cars & Coffee event, is back on, with a twist!
This event was originally to have taken place during the offseason, but COVID 19 laid those plans to waste. Instead, we have partnered with the Lacey Moose Lodge in Lanoka Harbor to bring Ocean County it’s very own cars & coffee this Spring. Starting on 3/28, join us on the last Sunday monthly for a fun, family-oriented event. There will be complimentary coffee, donuts or bagels (or both) and homecooked breakfast available for purchase. We’ll also have music, a 50/50 raffle, and interviews and videos with car owners to learn more about their rides. This is a free event, collecting donations for our charities, and a great opportunity to learn more about the Moose Lodge and becoming a member. When our event is over, head up to Wall Twp and join the Garden State Auto Club at The Lanes at Sea Girt for their Caffeine and Chrome from 12-4!
Cruise Nights Are Back in Bayville and Waretown, and still FREE!
We’ve expanded our cruise nights this year and hope you’ll come check them out. We will be back at Breakers Kitchen & Tap in Waretown on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays every month starting in April. Featuring awesome music, great cars, and car hop service for food! We will be awarding trophies for best in show at this event as well. We've also added a second free cruise night on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays every month at Bubbakoos in Bayville. This used to be a popular spot back a few years ago, and we are bringing it back. We picked the 2nd & 4th Saturday nights so hopefully the Blue Moon Kruizers will be back with their awesome cruise night at Chic-fil-A in Howell on the 1st and 3rd Saturday's - we'll keep you posted!
We have two great shows for you to attend as well!
We didn’t do Car Hop Kickoff this year just in case COVID19 wore out its (un)welcome and pushed April events back. We'll bring it back next year hopefully. So instead, we bring you our 2nd annual Cars & Stripes Show which will be on July 3, 2021 at Breakers in Waretown, and a new event, Wheels & Wings, which will be September 18, 2021 at Miller Airpark Fairgrounds in Bayville. As space is limited at both events, we suggest you pre-register as soon as possible and avoid the rush.
While 2020 could probably go down in the books as the worst year ever, we still managed to salvage a season and have some great events. Besides ours, Detail’s and Donuts, Sentimental Cruisers, Garden State Auto Club, Surf Corvette Club, Dragstrip Zombies, and many more stepped up to put on some really super cool shows and events in our area to help out our local charities. We hope that as these and other groups start planning out their 2021 shows, you’ll make every effort to attend not only to keep our hobby going strong, but to help the charities that have been suffering due to this pandemic. If we all work together, we can make 2021 one of the best years ever! We’ll see you out there on the show field!
